Why the Studio exists

For more than a decade, I’ve worked at the intersection of humanitarian law, advocacy, and policy — briefing practitioners, diplomats, donors, journalists, and the wider public.

Again and again, I saw the same pattern: rigorous analysis and vital messages buried in text-heavy reports and uninspiring presentations, undermining impact and leaving important voices unheard.

In a crowded humanitarian space, where attention is limited and information fatigue is real, visuals are critical. They shape how a message is seen, understood, and remembered. They cannot afford to be neglected.

The Advocacy Studio is the result of this realisation. It brings together deep policy expertise with creative visual design, helping humanitarians, human rights defenders and civil society cut through the noise and communicate with clarity and resonance — ensuring that their messages
don’t just exist, but drive change.
